The pool is a shelf of flat limestone with the sea washing into a cut in it. You walk off the rock straight into deep, clear water. There is no beach and no shallow end.
Nothing is provided here. There is no kiosk, no toilet and no proper car park, only a widening of the track where people leave cars. Bring water and take everything away with you. Shade disappears by the middle of the morning, which limits how long people stay. The rock also gets very hot.

Which winds this bay can take
It is sheltered from the south round to the north-north-east. There is no open water on those bearings for a wind to build a swell across. It is open to the east-north-east round to the south-south-east, where the sea runs for kilometres before it reaches this shore. A wind out of the north-east has some water to work with but not the full run.
