Running a company here
Malta is in the EU and the euro zone, English is an official language, and company law follows the British model rather than the continental one. That combination is why so many small companies register here.
A private limited company needs a minimum share capital, a registered local address and at least one director. Registration is handled by the Malta Business Registry and takes days rather than weeks once the paperwork is right.
Most people use a local accountant or corporate services firm for the setup. Doing it yourself is possible and rarely worth the time.
The practical side
