A rocky notch in the Delimara coast south of Il-Kalanka, reached on foot along the coast path. It is usually empty, because it takes ten minutes of walking that most people are not looking for on a beach day.
The entry is off the rock into deep water and the clarity is very good. Nothing is provided and there is no shade of any kind. It is open from the north-east round to the south, so a settled day matters more here than it would at a sheltered bay.
Which winds this bay can take
It is sheltered from the south-south-west round to the north. There is no open water on those bearings for a wind to build a swell across. It is open to the north-east round to the south, where the sea runs for kilometres before it reaches this shore. A wind out of the north-north-east has some water to work with but not the full run.

Measured as metres of open water on each bearing out from the shore. This is the bay’s own geography and it does not change; whether it is swimmable this afternoon is the reading at the top of the page, which also weighs how hard the wind is actually blowing.
