There is no beach here in the usual sense. The shore behind the water park is a long apron of flat rock, with the coast road above it. People spread out along it, so it rarely feels crowded even in August.
Entry is off the rock and the water deepens quickly. Dogs are allowed, there is parking on the road, and the kiosks by the park are a short walk away. It faces north and east into open water. It is one of the first places on this coast to turn rough.
Which winds this bay can take
It is sheltered from the east-south-east round to the north-north-west. There is no open water on those bearings for a wind to build a swell across. It is open to the north round to the east, where the sea runs for kilometres before it reaches this shore.

Measured as metres of open water on each bearing out from the shore. This is the bay’s own geography and it does not change; whether it is swimmable this afternoon is the reading at the top of the page, which also weighs how hard the wind is actually blowing.

Struck through means it is not there. Facilities at a Maltese bay are seasonal more often than not, so treat summer as the best case.
