The Three Palaces Festival runs from Wednesday 28 October to Sunday 1 November. It is five days of concerts held inside palaces instead of a concert hall.
Festivals Malta runs it, and it is the last event on their calendar for the year.
The venues
Concerts are split between the Grandmaster’s Palace in Valletta, Verdala Palace above Buskett, San Anton Palace in Attard and the Manoel Theatre. Verdala and San Anton are closed to the public for the rest of the year.
Check which building your concert is in before you book. Verdala sits well outside any town and the road up to it is dark at night.
Tickets
Festivals Malta usually publishes the programme a few weeks before the festival and puts tickets on sale at the same time. Past years have run from about ten to twenty five euro. The rooms used are small, so there are not many seats.
Note that 1 November is not a public holiday in Malta, so the Monday after the festival is a normal working day.
